One console for the whole estate. New skills to run it.
Palo Alto Networks Strata Cloud Manager (SCM) unifies enterprise security into a single, cloud-native platform across hardware, software and SASE form factors.
Why change
SCM brings firewalls and SASE into one cloud-native console. The configuration hierarchy, policy model, logging and telemetry, and automation are new, so skills built for box-by-box or Panorama-based management don't fully carry over.
Why now
Palo Alto Networks is putting SCM at the center of network-security management. SCMNSMA is a new course, and the first public class runs Dec 14–15, 2026. Train before the rollout, not after the first incident.
"...the challenge isn't a lack of visibility. It's knowing which signals actually matter..."
Deepak Ravindran & Mrinalini Kumar, Less Noise, More Action: Unified Incident Management in Strata Cloud Manager, Palo Alto Networks blog, Oct 21, 2026
