About this Course

Cisco Collaboration Systems Release 11.0 is a sophisticated, yet simple communications solution designed to strengthen business relationships through improved interactions and experiences for midsize to large businesses. It is a simple to deploy, manage, and maintain solution, supporting multiple applications on one virtualized platform. It is highly available, interoperable, and scalable solution.

This 5-day class will help you gain skills and knowledge necessary for initial Cisco Collaboration Systems Release 11.0 setup, integration, and configuration as well as day-to-day administration and management tasks. It focuses on the initial design, integration, configuration, and administration of Cisco Collaboration applications. It includes hands-on labs focused on configuration, verification, administration, and day-to-day management tasks. Lab exercises are delivered using an equipment-ready environment where students can focus on their specific areas of interests.

Outline: Cisco CSR 11 Administrator Workshop (CSR11ADMIN)

Module 1: Cisco Unified Communications Manager

  • Register phones using pools and templates for modular administration
  • Manage local end users and synchronize users from LDAP server including LDAP authentication
  • Describe gateways and their protocols H.323, MGCP, and SIP
  • Setup trunk connections to SIP service provider
  • Describe dial plan components including, call routing logic, and digit manipulation
  • Describe calling privileges and location-based CAC for voice and video calls
  • Describe media resources and control for conferencing, transcoding, MOH, and others
  • Implement Extension Mobility
  • Implement call coverage like call pickup, hunt groups, intercom, and others
  • Implement Mobile Connect (Single Number Reach)

Module 2: Cisco Unity Connection

  • Integrate Cisco Unity Connection with Cisco Unified Communications Manager
  • Setup Cisco Unity Connection system settings, authentication, and others
  • Setup Templates and Class of Service for modular administration
  • Synchronize users from LDAP server to Cisco Unity Connection
  • Configure call routing to and within Cisco Unity Connection
  • Configure Unified Messaging (Single Inbox)

Module 3: Cisco Unified IM and Presence

  • Integrate Cisco Unified IM and Presence with Cisco Unified Communications Manager
  • Integrate Cisco Jabber with Cisco Unity Connection and enable Enterprise Instant Messaging
  • Setup LDAP server as a contact source for number to name resolution
  • Deploy Cisco Jabber for deskphone and softphone mode

  • Add Unified Communications applications to Prime License Manager
  • Implement daily automated backups and register UC servers with PLM
  • Implement a dial plan and register phones
  • Synchronize users from LDAP server using LDAP filters

  • Configure calling privileges
  • Connect to a SIP cloud
  • Implement mobility features
  • Configure media resources
  • Configure Extension Mobility
  • Configure Call Coverage like call pickup, hunt groups, intercom, and others
  • Configure Mobile Connect (Single Number Reach)

2: Configure Cisco Unity Connection

  • Integrate Cisco Unity Connection with Cisco Unified Communications Manager
  • Configure Cisco Unity Connection system settings
  • Synchronize users from LDAP server using LDAP filters
  • Monitor calls to Cisco Unity Connection
  • Generate administrative reports and manage mailbox quotas
  • Configure message notification and automate backups
  • Configure call handling and routing and modify the default system auto attendant
  • Set up Integrated Messaging, Unified Messaging (Single Inbox) and Secure Messaging

3: Configure Cisco Unified IM and Presence

  • Integrate Cisco Unified IM and Presence with Cisco Unified Communications Manager
  • Deploy Jabber for deskphone and softphone mode using LDAP authentication
  • Configure voice messaging integration and desktop sharing
  • Setup LDAP directory search
  • Deploy URI Dialing with Cisco Jabber
