Fast Lane offers a broad array of hands-on vendor-authorized IT training classes including Cisco Systems, NetApp, VMware as well as vendor-neutral courses developed in house.
Job Description
Fast Lane is looking for an experienced business development / account manager who would be responsible for establishing and maintaining close relationships with the channel organizations of our major vendor partners (e.g. Cisco Systems, NetApp, VMware) as well as with distributors, system integrators and resellers.
Responsibilities include identifying channel training / enablement requirements, introducing our services to vendor channel organizations as well as positioning our services to upper level management of major channel partners.
This position is well compensated with a competitive base salary and achievement-based bonus income.
Specific responsibilities include:
- Understand the channel organizations and channel programs of our major vendor partners
- Identify various channel training opportunities
- Position our services with the channel organizations of our major vendor partners
- Build and expand the channel enablement business with our major vendor partners
- Gro• Work with Fast Lane marketing to enhance and promote our offerings for channel partners
The successful candidate will have the following characteristics:
- Experience with channel organizations and channel programs, ideally with one or all of our major vendor partners like Cisco Systems, VMware, NetApp, Citrix, etc.
- Comfortable engaging with VP-level and above contacts
- A successful track record of selling services to channel organizations and / or channel partners
- An enterprise solution / services sales orientation and an in-depth background in technical services sales
- The ability to develop, articulate and present a business case
- Comfortable with a consultative, solution selling approach
- Excellent communications and writing skills, attention to detail and a positive attitude
- The ability to handle multiple partners / clients simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
Location & Reporting
We are looking for somebody being located in the Silicon Valley, California area. The successful candidate will report to our VP of Sales.
Education / Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business or a related discipline or equivalent experience;
- Five (5) plus years of experience with channel organizations and / or channel account management.
