Microsoft Certified IT Professionals focusing on the Enterprise Administrator certification demonstrate their understanding of advanced technologies including Terminal Services, Digital Rights Management, Certificate Services, Active Directory - Director Services, Federated Services and other "Enterprise" technologies. Microsoft Certified IT Professional: Windows Server 2008 R2 Enterprise Administrator is the premier certification for network administrators. The certification confirms that you are fully qualified to administer networks on an enterprise scale using the latest in Microsoft technologies and servies. The MCITP: Enterprise Administrator certification is the new generation of the well known MCSE Certification.

Prerequisites

Students looking to attend this class should have an existing MCSE 2003 certification.

Course Objectives

In this course we teach you how to install Windows 7 using WinPE tools and Windows Deployment Services (WDS). We demonstrate how to boot from VHD with Windows 7 Enterprise. We look at features such as AppLocker, DirectAccess, Bitlocker and Branch Cache. Additionally, we explore tools such as Problem Step Recorder, Remote Support/Access and Action Center. Our monitoring section includes using Reliability Monitor, Event Viewer, Process Explorer and other tools. We’ll configure Group Policies and look at advanced Firewall and IP Security.

As we move to Windows Server 2008R2 technologies, we start with the installation of the Core and Enterprise versions. We configure Active Directory with Organization Units, Domains and Trust, Sites and Services and Group Policies. We install and configure services including DHCP, DNS, NAP, Terminal Services, Certificates, IIS, WDS, RADIUS and more… We also explore the new features of Windows 2008 R2 and the advanced Technet articles are demonstrated.

Lastly, this course aims at helping you get certified. All 3 exams are taken during class, and we have a 96% pass rate during in-class attempts.
