Much of the traffic in corporate networks (and many of the performance problems troubling them) comes from Microsoft Services, in particular the traffic associated with normal Microsoft client functions and Active Directory Services. Through years and years of collecting and analyzing packets on Microsoft networks, our Wireshark course development and instructor team have crafted a course that will make you an expert in Microsoft network protocol analysis. This hands-on advanced course will reveal all their is to know about what's really going on in your network!

Who should attend

  • Network Administrators and network personnel who are responsible for the operation of networks running Microsoft Active Directory Services.

  • Microsoft System Administrators of Active Directory servers and services, who want to gain knowledge of the network related processes and protocols from a packet level perspective.

Prerequisites

  • You should already have already attended our Wireshark Packet Analysis Boot Camp, or have the equivalent in knowledge and experience
  • You should also have strong TCP/IP fundamentals, akin to what is learned in Cisco's ICND1 or a TCP/IP Fundamentals course

Course Content

Participants will gain knowledge about features and analysis of the key processes and network protocols of Microsoft Windows networks running Active Directory Services from a packet level perspective. With the help of the Wireshark Network Protocol Analyser, typical network traffic is analyzed and potential problems are discussed.
