About this Course

The Cisco Unified Fabric products included in the course are the Nexus line of data center switches, including the 7000, 5000, and 2000 series fabric extenders, as well as the Cisco MDS fibre channel switches. Designed for Systems and Field Engineers, Consulting Systems Engineers, Technical Solution Architects, and Cisco integrators, this course will teach the components and procedures needed to install, configure and manage the Cisco Unified Fabric products.

Class Prerequisites

  • Cisco Certified Network Associate Data Center (CCNA Data Center) certification
  • Good understanding of the Fibre Channel protocol and the SAN environment
    • Recommended attendance of a Fibre Channel protocol class or equivalent experience
    • Recommended attendance of the !CI-ICSNS course or equivalent experience
    • Recommended to read Robert Kembel’s books on Fibre Channel and Fibre Channel switched fabrics
