Fast Lane is proud to be once again on the cutting edge with this intensive 3-day authorized course on the latest features and functionality of Cisco's Catalyst 6500 Series Switch, including the architecture of the chassis and line cards, with a detailed focus on the new Supervisor engine, the Sup 2T. The course also introduces you to the role that the Cat 6500 plays in "identity-based" networking leveraging 802.1x and how to configure NetFlow to support performance objectives.   • Given a requirement, identify how to plan and implement virtual switch services into the solution
  • Evaluate the security features available on the Cisco Catalyst 6500 Series switches to identify which features should be implemented in to a solution
  • Evaluate the service-level and network-level high availability of the Cisco Catalyst 6500 Series switches and how to use the Cisco IOS In-Service Software Upgrade feature
  • Understand the processes, tools, and resources for troubleshooting the network infrastructure, interconnectivity, and operations
