Cisco Routing and Switching Field Specialist

Designed for Cisco Channel Partners and Resellers, the Cisco Routing and Switching Field Specialist will demonstrate the skills and knowledge required to successfully install, configure, monitor, and support the advanced capabilities of Cisco routing and switching solutions. Individuals who achieve this certification have demonstrated specific expertise in Border Gateway Protocol (BGP), Multi-Protocol Label Switching (MPLS), Quality of Service (QoS), High Availability (HA), WAN optimization, and IP version 6 (IPv6).

Prerequisites

Valid CCNP or any CCIE Certification can act as a pre-requisite.

Recertification

Complete one of the following recertification options every two years:

  • Re-take and pass all exams for each Specialist certification indicated on the specific certification page. Please note: this includes ALL exams whether refreshed or not.
  • Pass a current CCIE or CCDE written exam

Achieving or recertifying CCDE or any CCIE automatically extends your active Specialist certification(s) up to the point of expiration of the last certification achieved.
