Also, to make the shameless plug, if you are working on these type of issues, you might want to investigate this course, delivered by Resident IPv6 Guru, Fred Bovy, called "<a href="http://www.fastlaneus.com/course/fl-ipv6spdi" rel="nofollow">Designing and Implementing Cisco IPv6 for Service Providers (IPV6SPDI)</a>": http://www.fastlaneus.com/course/fl-ipv6spdi

Barry,

Actually, this is a common concern for any Internet Service Provider operating a MPLS-VPN. But I suspect that an ISP would be aware of these design. I guess that a Service Provider whose business is to provide a VPN service will be interested about this:

- How this SP will provide Internet Access to all the MPLS-VPN customers ?
- And the other question would be how to use the MPLS-VPN backbone to interconnect other ISPs ?

If the MPLS-VPN owner has not yet a solution for these two questions then he will be interested to hear this...

Regards,
Fred

Fred, thanks for the detailed analysis! Would you suspect that this issue is a common concern for ISPs these days?

Thanks,

Additional Key differentiators:

The Sup 2T launch includes next-generation services modules for the Catalyst 6500 for firewall, Application Control Engine, network analysis and the Wireless Services Module 2, which controls 500 802.11n access points and 10,000 clients.

Cisco claims the Sup 2T can support 13 million NetFlow sessions in a single chassis and 256,000 multicast routes, 17 times more than the competition.
