Snowsqualls, tuques and poutine! Translation for fellow southerners: Blizzards, toboggans and comfort food. That’s right, this southern belle ventured into the great white north to attend the Microsoft Tech Summit in Toronto last week. Luckily, my hotel was attached to the convention center so I had minimal exposure to the -11 Celsius weather. This was my first experience representing Fast Lane Canada in front of fellow vendors and an audience dying to know more about Microsoft’s 2017 Global Training Partner of the Year. I loved engaging with individuals and letting them know what we can offer around Azure training and services.
The Tech Summit was full of content from breakouts to workshops, to shorter theater sessions and panel discussions in the Hub. As I sat through the keynotes on Azure and Office 365, my Solutions Architect hat kept my ears burning. I just wanted to jump up and let everyone know about our Learning as a Service (Laas) offering and how we can develop an Azure Adoption Program for your team.
I also enjoyed the sessions on Office 365 and the evolution of AI integration. Pretty soon, you will be able to collaborate with your team and edit word documents within Outlook. Powerpoint will automatically create lists and tables for you based on action words used on the slide. That, along with many other features will soon take the stress out of “dressing up” your presentations and allow you to focus on the content. I am definitely downplaying the new capabilities, which is why you need to see for yourself! The Microsoft Tech Summit is a free 2-day technical learning event for IT professionals and developers. Fast Lane will be there to answer any questions you have about Azure training and adoption.
Check out our Microsoft MOC public schedule, head over to Fast Lane.Live to explore our MOOC titles and be sure to check us out at the Microsoft Tech Summit in Washington, D.C. on March 5-6, 2018. We will be there, and we look forward to engaging with you!
