40 percent of Cisco customers need help using their data to better understand their businesses. Cisco believes they’ve found a solution with Cisco Connected Analytics for the Internet of Everything portfolio. The set of eight easy to deploy, specific industry software packages will help customers use data from the Internet of Things to improve operations. Cisco embeds analytic technology into networking equipment, allowing customers to get value from data quicker. CEO John Chambers believes this process is unique to Cisco.
The Internet of Things software package includes software from Truviso, a vendor that specializes in network data analysis and reporting software and Composite Software, a vendor that creates data virtualization
software. Other vendors, including Microsoft, IBM, Oracle, SAP and Pivotal will be involved with the portfolio.The Internet of Things will be a $19 trillion market in 10 years, with $7.3 trillion tied to data analytics and handling big data.
